Job Summary: 

We are seeking vigilant and professional Manned Security Guards to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance systems, controlling access points, and responding to security incidents. 

Reports To: Security Supervisor/Operations Team/Site Chief Security Officer 

Key Responsibilities 

Access Control & Surveillance 

• Monitor and control entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access. 
• Verify identification, log visitors, and issue access passes where applicable. 
• Conduct security checks on personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries as required. 
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems, radios, and alarm panels, escalating alerts promptly. 
• Ensure gates, doors, and restricted areas remain secured at all times. 

Patrolling & Incident Response 

• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols to detect suspicious activity, hazards, or vulnerabilities. 
• Deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other potential threats through proactive presence. 
• Respond immediately to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and emergency call-outs. 
• Assist during evacuations, fire outbreaks, medical incidents, and other emergencies in line with SOPs. 
• Preserve scene integrity and coordinate with supervisors and emergency responders when required. 

Customer & Client Interaction 

• Provide assistance, guidance, and courteous support to visitors, residents, staff, and clients. 
• Maintain a professional, calm, and approachable demeanor at all times. 
• Manage conflicts tactfully and report escalations appropriately. 
• Represent Provisio positively, reinforcing trust and safety on-site. 

Documentation & Reporting 

• Maintain accurate daily occurrence logs (DOR), visitor registers, and patrol records. 
• Report security incidents, hazards, near-misses, and irregularities without delay. 
• Prepare clear written incident reports and submit them to supervisors as required. 
• Ensure proper handover notes during shift changes. 

Compliance, Discipline & Team Coordination 

• Follow site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), post orders, and client instructions. 
• Adhere to uniform, grooming, and conduct standards. 
• Participate in briefings, drills, and refresher trainings. 

• Communicate effectively with fellow guards, supervisors, and control room personnel. 
• Protect confidential information and company assets at all times. 

Health, Safety & Risk Awareness 

• Identify safety hazards (electrical faults, spills, damaged fencing, etc.) and report promptly. 
• Promote safe practices and ensure emergency equipment is unobstructed and functional. 
• Support incident prevention through vigilance and risk awareness. 

Qualifications & Skills: 

• Minimum of 2-6 years’ experience in security, law enforcement, or related field. 
• Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or equivalent (additional security training is a plus). 
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations. 
• Physically fit with the ability to stand and patrol for extended periods. Physical Fitness will be tested. 
• Knowledge of security protocols, first aid, and self-defense techniques is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities 

Strategy, Growth, and Market Intelligence 

• Contribute to strategic planning and translate business goals into actionable initiatives. 
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and policy monitoring to identify emerging opportunities. 
• Support leadership in shaping Provisio’s positioning in the security and governance ecosystem. 
• Track and report on key performance metrics related to growth, revenue, and operational performance. 

Business Development and Partnerships 

• Support the end-to-end business development process—from lead identification and proposal development to pitch delivery and follow-up. 
• Develop compelling proposals, concept notes, and capability statements for corporate, government, and donor clients. 
• Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities through relationship management, partner engagement, and targeted outreach. 
• Contribute to the design of strategic partnerships and collaborations that expand Provisio’s footprint and service portfolio. 

Operations and Performance Management 

• Strengthen internal systems and tools for project management, reporting, and cross-team collaboration. 
• Coordinate high-priority initiatives and ensure alignment between business, operations, and field teams. 
• Support the planning and facilitation of operational reviews, management meetings, and retreats. 

• Develop and maintain SOPs, trackers, and dashboards for performance and accountability monitoring. 

Advisory and Project Delivery Support 

• Assist in the design and delivery of client-facing projects, including security assessments, governance reviews, and capacity-building programs. 
• Contribute to research, analysis, and policy briefs for clients and stakeholders. 
• Coordinate consultants, vendors, and logistics for seamless project execution. 

Communications and Executive Support 

• Draft briefing notes, memos, and reports for executive and client presentations. 
• Prepare business decks and investment materials that reflect a strong strategic and commercial focus. 
• Support the Managing Partner with stakeholder engagement, investor relations, and follow-ups with key accounts. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Relations, Security Studies, Public Policy, or a related field. 
• 2–4 years’ experience in business development, consulting, strategic operations, or related roles in security, governance, or development. 
• Proven business acumen with the ability to translate ideas into commercially viable strategies. 
• Strong research, analytical, and proposal development skills. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) — mandatory. 
• Experience using CRM, project, or productivity tools (e.g., Airtable, Asana, Notion) is an advantage. 
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with attention to detail and brand consistency.

Position Overview 

The Compliance & Deployment Officer oversees the effective deployment, supervision, and regulatory compliance of all manned guard operations. The role ensures operational excellence through coordinated guard postings, enforcement of company standards, compliance audits, and adherence to NSCDC/PGC regulations and client requirements. 

The officer also maintains rapid access to client sites by operating a company power bike. 

Strong leadership and team collaboration are essential, as the role involves guiding field operatives, coordinating across departments, and upholding consistent operational standards at all locations. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Guard Deployment & Workforce Coordination 

• Plan, schedule, and update guard deployments across all client locations. 
• Ensure all posts are fully staffed with qualified, vetted, and trained personnel. 
• Provide leadership to field supervisors and guards to ensure discipline, punctuality, and professionalism. 
• Respond to emergencies, absenteeism, or last-minute deployment changes with decisive action. 
• Work collaboratively with Operations and HR to resolve staffing gaps. 
• Maintain an updated deployment roster, guard database, and duty schedules. 

2. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight 

• Ensure all operations comply with NSCDC Private Guard Company (PGC) regulations and internal SOPs. 
• Conduct routine site inspections to verify guard performance, uniform standards, documentation, and licensing. 
• Lead corrective action efforts where compliance gaps are identified. 
• Maintain compliance records licenses, ID cards, training certificates, background checks, etc. 
• Collaborate with the Compliance Unit to support license renewals and regulatory audits. 

3. Client Site Supervision & Quality Assurance 

• Conduct regular, structured inspections of client sites to ensure service delivery meets contractual expectations. 
• Document findings and lead follow-up corrective actions. 
• Engage professionally with client representatives to resolve operational issues. 
• Ensure guards follow site-specific SOPs, post orders, and emergency procedures. 
• Use the company power bike for rapid, efficient access to client sites, especially in urgent circumstances. 
• Coordinate closely with Client Relations to maintain strong client satisfaction. 

4. Training, Discipline & Performance Monitoring 

• Assist in coordinating periodic training, refresher courses, and drills. 
• Provide leadership by coaching guards on professional conduct and performance expectations. 
• Enforce disciplinary measures in line with company policy and ensure fair, documented processes. 
• Support HR in onboarding, vetting, and evaluating new guards’ readiness. 
• Work with Training Officers to ensure guards maintain required competency levels. 

5. Reporting & Documentation 

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly compliance and deployment reports. 
• Maintain complete and accurate logs on incidents, guard movements, site inspections, and corrective actions. 
• Track guard welfare issues and coordinate with Welfare and Logistics teams for timely resolution. 
• Provide operational insights and recommendations to management based on field observations. 

Required Qualifications 

• OND/HND/B.Sc. in Security Studies, Criminology, Public Administration, or a related field. 
• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in manned guard operations, deployment, or security supervision. 
• Knowledge of NSCDC PGC regulations and private security industry standards. 
• Ability to operate a company power bike safely and efficiently for field duties. 
• Valid rider’s permit (or willingness to obtain one immediately). 
• Proven leadership ability, including supervising teams, resolving conflicts, and motivating guards. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure. 
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments. 
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, deployment software, and reporting tools. 
• Excellent communication, supervisory, and problem-solving skills.
